Abstract

Hidup di era sekarang seakan tidak ada lagi batasan baik bersifat geografis maupun territorial sehingga memunculkan masyarakat yang plural dan heterogen. Dalam masyarakat yang plural dan heterogen inilah muncul pelbagai problem masyarakat terutama tentang pemahaman teks keagamaan yang menjadi pemicu tidak harmonisnya tatanan sosial. Artikel ini bertujuan menguak pemikiran dua tokoh Islam kontemporer dalam pemahaman teks agama Islam (penafisran al-Qur’an) yang berkaitan dengan pluralism untuk mencari pemahaman teks yang komprehensif dalam mewujudkan masyarakat yang pluralistik dan harmonis.
